SYSTEM DESIGN: Network Operations Center (NOC)

Network Operations Center

Network Operations Center

Government agencies and large commercial companies require Network Operations Centers to monitor their buildings, systems, emergency operations, technology and more. In this case, Digital Communications & Display was tasked with designing a system to monitor a State agencies operations. This “NOC” is used to monitor statewide locations, emergency issues and more. At infancy, the room was designed with video cubes by Planar Systems. Recent upgrades replaced that system with a cutting edge Digital System utilizing a 2:2 High Definition Sharp Video Wall with peripheral HD NEC monitors on either side. The video wall is powered by an RGB Spectrum Video Wall Processor and mounted with Premier Mounts for easy back-end access if service is required. A Sierra Video switcher powers the source inputs and allows each monitor to be used full screen or individually depending on the need. The video wall can be used for one large on screen display or several simultaneous input sources displayed. Crestron touchpanel control allows ease of use.

About the Video Walls:

We chose a high resolution (1920 x 1080; HD) slim bezeled 55” Sharp commercial grade monitors for the video walls.

The Set Up: RGB Spectrum Video Wall Controller is programmed to display input sources in many different arrays: Full screen input, multiple inputs, multiple inputs amongst individual screens and more. From TV, News, Weather, Traffic Cameras, Video Conferencing and more, this NOC is truly an operation center that’s productive!
